Environmental Management System

Dedagroup, always attentive to the sustainability of innovation, has undertaken a deep evolutionary process that in 2016 led to the ISO 14001 certification for the Environmental Management System covering all its activities at the headquarters in Trento.

Environmental Policy

Our goal is to monitor, reduce, and mitigate the environmental impact generated (directly or indirectly) by our activities at the Trento headquarters and extend environmental best practices (such as the use of renewable sources, energy-efficient lighting, waste separation, etc.) to all other Group locations. On this front, we aim to be a unified and supportive Group.
Environmental impact must always be appropriately assessed in the development of policies, products, and initiatives. We are committed to continuously improving our internal processes and promoting conscious behavior at all organizational levels.
In implementing our Environmental Management System, internal communication has been and continues to be central: We provide all collaborators with the necessary information to apply company procedures consistently and make informed choices. In practice, it is the individual’s behavior that makes the difference and supports a synergistic process that allows us to achieve the defined goals.

The Environmental Policy outlines a series of activities to be implemented in an Environmental Plan. These activities include:

  • Defining, applying, and maintaining an active Environmental Management System.
  • Effectively managing waste and minimizing the consumption of raw materials and energy in the offices.
  • Taking necessary measures to minimize environmental impacts from possible emergencies.
  • Paying special attention to environmental protection issues in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Promoting training and awareness-raising activities for employees regarding environmental issues.
  • Continuously improving environmental performance based on significant ecological aspects identified to reduce environmental impacts as much as possible.
  • Promoting and supporting initiatives to raise awareness of environmental protection among external stakeholders.
  • Engaging qualified suppliers on environmental compliance topics

Environmental Plan

People and good practices make the difference. Here are some examples of those adopted over the years:

  • Installation of Photovoltaic System: The photovoltaic system installed on the roof of the Trento headquarters has been operational since 2012, producing 80,000 kWh per year.
  • Optimization of Data Centers: Dedagroup uses data centers that are designed and developed according to Green IT criteria.
  • Business Travel Policy: Our corporate travel policy encourages greater use of trains, especially for the Milan-Rome and Trento-Rome routes.
  • Videoconferencing System: Dedagroup has implemented a videoconferencing system at all its locations. It is now used as the preferred communication method, reducing the need for transportation and yielding immediate benefits regarding CO2 emission reduction.
  • Corporate Car Fleet: Since 2013, Dedagroup has introduced an engine downsizing strategy for the engine size of the purchased vehicles, resulting in a corporate fleet with reduced emissions and an increase in green cars.
  • Optimization of Waste Collection: Based on a specific corporate policy, we have implemented a series of measures aimed at systematic waste sorting (paper and multi-material waste) and reducing paper consumption.
